NOTES FROM A TIRED HEART.
It may not be the right place to speak, yet silence has grown heavier than words. There are thoughts that press against the chest, asking to be written if they cannot be spoken.
A mother exists in the space between giving and lacking, pouring from a cup that is rarely full . Every day is an attempt to offer love, guidance, and stability, even when resources fall short, and answers feel incomplete.
Her son carries emotions she cannot fully reach. A quiet storm of expectations and unmet desires stands between them. He longs for a life she cannot afford to give, and in that longing, her voice grows faint to him. He does not see the nights spent worrying, the calculations between needs and dreams, the sacrifices made quietly, without witnesses.
The questions come softly but persistently: Where did I fail you? Did I hurt you without knowing? There is room made for conversation, space held for honesty, yet understanding remains just beyond reach, hovering but never landing.
When support is sought, the answers arrive predictably: pray, be strong, have faith. Faith is present, yes, but faith does not erase exhaustion. Prayer does not cancel burnout, nor does it soothe the ache of feeling unseen and unheard.
This is the unseen labor of a single mother. Holding a life together with bare hands, changing roles without pause.Worker by day.Businesswoman by necessity. Employer, when others depend on her. Daughter carrying expectations. Mother at all hours, without rest.
Some days, the weight is overwhelming, and pieces of self feel misplaced. Some nights are spent gathering them back, slowly, carefully, learning how to continue while tired.
Still, morning comes, and she rises again. Not because she is unbroken, but because love insists on resilience.
She is tired. She is overwhelmed. And still, she tries
